Education 4 Nature Galapagos
Connecting and motivating for innovation and conservation
Galapagos is a special place celebrated around the world as the birthplace of Charles Darwin’s Theory of Evolution. The four island communities of 30,000 people seek to be a model of sustainability.
If we look around our hometowns, we find examples of natural history and cultural identity that many times pass unperceived. We have so much to discover for our benefit and for nature.
Together we can motivate our communities to learn about their endemic species, conserve them, and boost their cultural identity, all the while promoting new tourism opportunities.
Education 4 Nature Galapagos is a local NGO founded on San Cristobal Island that uses comparative place-based education to motivate local community members and visitors to conserve our special places.
